A crescent moon surrounding a branch of leaves, all covered with prong set garnets. The piece measures 1 and 7/8 inches by 3/4 inches. The piece has an old style c-clasp with a hinged pin. The piece has been kept in what appears to be the original box (we purchased it that way). The box is maroon leather outside with aged white sating and velvet on the inside. The box measures 2 and 5/16 inches square. It is a very handsome collar or lapel piece with the charm of history to go with it.
