Goddess with Roses and Curly Locks

Measuring 1 and 3/4 inches wide by 1 and 1/2 inches in height, this beautiful shell cameo shows a Roman Goddess with her set into curly locks and roses addorning her hair and shoulder. The cameo is signed on the back with a full signature, but the name can not be discerned (appears to begin "Chr" on two lines plus the number "2" at the bottom). A classic victorian motif, this cameo brooch is set in a fancicul white gold frame stamped 14 kt. The setting has a beautiful shine and the cameo is in perfect condition.
