Late 1800s Grace in White Gold Filigree Frame

This is a beautifully carved shell cameo. Though she is an anonymous woman from the late 1800s, her captivating features set her apart from the rest. She has a long thin nose with just a hint of turn at the end. She wears no jewelry, but holds a long stem rose that matches the single large rose which holds up her hair. Her clothing is simple, yet well detailed. She truely is graceful. This charming cameo measures 1 and 1/4 by 1 and 3/4 and is set inside a 14 kt white gold filigree frame. The filigree frame is designed as a rectangular frame accented by flowers in each corner. The setting is very well made - finished nicely on the front and back. It has a hinged loop which can come up for a pendant bale or be hidden when the piece is worn as a brooch. The horizontal pin closure has an old style hinged locking clasp.
