This carved shell cameo from the early 1900's is in mint condition.
The portrait is of a gentle Bacchante Maiden, a follower of the God Bacchus (Dionysus) -
The God of Wine and Plenty. The carving is in very fine detail.
The cameo is set in a 14k yellow gold filagree mounting that is mint in every way.
The cameo can be worn as a pin or a pendant. The size is slightly under 2 inches from
top to bottom, and one and one half inches wide. This is a beautiful Christmas gift waiting
for the right buyer.
