Victorian Lady with Flowers in Her Hair
and a Rose on Her Shoulder

This is a victorian age cameo featuring a beautiful woman with smartly decorated hair. Her hair is swooped up in abun with flowers and leave and bows. On the top of her head is a small tearra, and around her neck is a single strand of pearls. Her slightly up-turned nose, drop earrings, and delicate smile date her as a more "modern" cameo from the late 1800s/early 1900s. This shell cameo is set in fancy gold filigree mounting stamped 14 kt gold. The piece measures 1 and 15.16 inches (50 mm) high by 1 and 9/16 inches (40 mm) wide, and can be worn as either a pendant or a brooch.
