Young Lovers - Lava Cameo Cufflinks

This handsome pair of cameo cufflinks consists of a rich golden-tan lava (with just the slightest hint of green), hand carved with unique grecian subjects. The woman has a crescent moon over her head indicating that she is Artemis (Diana), Goddes of the Hunt. The male subject may be her brother, Apollo, as they were born together of Zues and Leto in Delos. Though each cufflink has a different subject, there is no doubt that the two are an original pair, well preserved through the years. The carvings are finely detailed, with nice under citting under the chins and near the curls in the hair. The cufflinks measure 7/8 inches by 3/4 inches, each.
