Deeply Carved Brown Agate Bacchante Maiden

This very deeply carved agate is a fine example of a Bacchante Maiden. Plentiful vines of grapes and grape leaves adorn her hair. The color, contrast, and depth of the cameo is stunning (15 mm deep). The cameo is set in a gold twist mounting made as a brooch with a hook at the bottom to hang another piece of jewelry. The piece measures 1 and 3/4 inches (46 mm) wide by 2 and 1/4 inches (57 mm) in height. This piece is currently not priced for sale; however, offers are always welcomed.
