Sophisticated Woman in a Pearl Setting
Gorgeous Stone Cameo Brooch with Left-sided Clasp

A large-sized cameo brooch measures 54 mm wide by 64 mm in hieght. The subject of the cameo is a woman with her hair neatly put up in a wrap with a button onthe top. She wears two strands of pearls around her neck which coordinately perfectly to the seed pearls used in the surrounding setting. She stands straight and tall - and appears quite sophisticated, as if a princess or member of royalty. Her long straight nose dates the cameo as an older piece during the roman empire. The mounting is yellow gold and contains over 50 pearls, evenly matched in size and color, each approximately 2 mm in diameter. The clasp is an old style c-clasp with a safety lock.
