Beautifully Detailed Onyx Cameo of a Lady's Profile

This is a finely detailed onyx cameo. Smaller in size, measuring ***measurement to be added**, this piece is of a beautiful woman with long hair adorned with a single rose. She appears italian in origin due to her facial features. The cameo is set in a handsome, heavy gold brooch mounting with an old style c-clasp closure. There are two stampings on the clasp which are too small for our eyes to discern. One appears to be "APA", though it is difficult to tell.
