This is a beautiful heirloom ring. Intricately carved from onyx, this cameo has high relief and wonderful color contrast. Yet even with the strength of onyx, the ring is very delicately set with fine gold work beneath, making it very feminine. The cameo carving is of a roman goddess with a ribbon around her head, that dangles in the back. The carving comes out very close to the edge of the onyx. The cameo measures 13 mm by 17 mm and comes 7 mm off the finger. The stone is split prong set in the 10 kt gold ring which sits very nicely when worn. The ring is a size 6.
