A beautifully detailed cameo carving of a queen or noble woman carved in onyx. This uniquely round shaped cameo shows a woman's profile with a broad collar and stately dress. Her hair is up in a bun wrapped in a wide bow or scarf. She has a long straight nose and a pretty face. The white and black contrast of the onyx is gorgeous. The cameo is beveled on the edges and then bezel set in a finely made sterling silver ring setting. The setting has a simple,yet very fashionable scroll design on either side of the ring shank. In addition, the setting of the stone sits on a very well shaped and comfortable base which really hugs the finger and makes it very comfortable to wear. The ring is a size 8 and 3/4 and the face of the ring measures 1/2 inch in diameter.
