Two Handsomely Carved Unset Lava Cameos

Present here are two wonderfully carved lava cameos of historical men. The smaller of the two measures 20 mm by 25 mm and depicts a Roman man with a laurel wreath crowning his head. He is bald on top and dressed in robes... Cesear? ... Mark Anthony? .... Could likely be identified with some research. The other unset lava cameo of similar maroon hue is slightly larger, measuring 25 mm by 29 mm. This cameo of a Roman soldier in battle gear, including nicely edged helmet and sunburst design shield. He is a handsome young soldier, showing nice detail to his facial features. Both of these cameos are carved with a deep relief, nearly 8 mm. They are in good condition, with no chips or cracks, though do show some age-appropriate wear to their surface finish. A handsome pair!
